Title: “The Leverage Effect”
Published: 26th of November, 2021
A dark noir with the theme finance, murder by saber and troubled cop. I wrote the book as an anger management activity; its more productive to kill the guy you are angry at in a novel and also create a fiction out of it. I first wrote the book in Swedish, then translated it myself to English. Cannot guarantee the quality of the work, but it was fun writing it. Yes, “leverage” is a finance reference and you do need to read the book to find out why its in the titel.
Synpasis:
“One of Sweden’s most powerful financier is lying dead in a conference room. At his side, a bloody saber. Murder investigator Kim Berg gets the case on his lap, and together with the persistent prosecutor from the Economic Crime Authority Disa Gardevärn seeks the answer to a tangle of illegal trades, poker tournaments, call-girls and greed.
How far are people willing to go, to get power and riches – as far as to kill someone?”

Title: “InsurTech – Digitalizing the Insurance Industry”
Published: 18th of May, 2021
During my time as managing director of Vector Nordic AB (a n insurance broker in the travel guarantee sphere in the Nordics), I got interested in the topic of InsurTech. My experience from the insurance industry in 2019 was that it was lagging in terms tech adoption and IT literacy. My nerd streak made me read countless research articles, regular business articles and interview people in the business. Sense I had all that material, I decided to make a book out of it and published it on Amazon. And thus Hvitravnur AB also became a publisher. The book has sold 94 copies, with the UK being the single largest market (60% – thanks mates ❤️🇬🇧).

Managed Futures Strategies – Support Vector Machines as a Due Diligence Tool
Publication date Jul 1, 2013 at Stockholm School of Economics
My Master thesis at SSE! Using Support Vector Machines to classify managed futures funds, in the due diligence process. I think kids call it AI these days. Abstract:
“In this paper, we have used the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method for
classifying managed futures strategies, an exiting way of automating part of
the due diligence process.
Previously used methods for classification have been lacking, and the ones
tested (factor models) have been based on assumptions which do not accom-
modate for the return distributions of managed futures and the hedge fund
industry overall (i.e. IDD and normal distribution assumptions, and linear-
ity).
The SVM method is not dependent on distribution assumptions, and is a
process which can automate the classification part of a due diligence process.
When tested on the managed futures data at hand, the SVM showed a
certain amount of misclassification by funds tested.”
Usability in IT systems of financial firms – a distant dream or reality?
Publication date Jun 1, 2010 at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH)
My Bachelor thesis at KTH! Abstract:
“Banks have long been early adopters of technology; when it comes to usability, this thesis shows that they are also early adopters of new academic research. The problem is not adoption of a usability way of thinking, but in the way this is communicated in an organization. This thesis argues that HCI research needs to shift focus to the organizational aspect of actually implementing usability, no matter which definition of usability is used.
A greater focus on usability work in the form of usability evaluation and inclusion of end users in iterative IT development projects will not only be beneficial for banks’ cost reduction efforts, it will also be beneficial for the external users of the banks’ IT-systems, the private consumers, in the form of more usable and time efficient systems.
Different usability evaluation methods need to be used, depending on the particular function or system to be evaluated. This thesis argues that VSM is an easy to use method that can be implemented when evaluating the usability of a system or function.”
Videos
Min Stora Sorg – “Inte OK”
Made a small cameo in this music video, when I used to play for the American Football team Stockholm Mean Machines (SMM).
“Sp4zie & Athena Kör American Football!”
A collab with Coca-Cola (Coke TV) to promote the Djurgården American Football ladies team that I had established in 2016. I had told them I was a noob, but as a team lead and founder it fell upon me to improvise and do my best in explaining the basics of American Football and holding an impromptu training camp. Yes, I had no idea what I was doing. Yes, hard cringe on my acting skills. Kudos to the flag team and youth team for shoing up in short notice and helping out.
